Money Stories in First Language

What Is It?

Money Stories is a customized money management training program for Indigenous youth. Since 2021, the program has been offered in Anishinaabe, Ininew, or a blend of First Languages and English. 

Money Stories is delivered in eight chapters. Topics covered include: 

  • Money Choices 
  • Asset Building  
  • Community Economic Development 
  • Goal Setting and Problem Solving 
  • Gathering Information 
  • Budgeting  
  • Banking 
  • Credit 

Organizations and communities can request a one-hour workshop on any of the above topics, or a full eight-hour Money Stories series that covers all of the above topics. 

 Money Stories workshops and series can be delivered in-person or online via Zoom. Participants get a certificate by completing the full series of workshops.
