SEED’s Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

SEED’s programs and services are currently being offered over the phone, online, or through pre-booked appointments.

A number of staff members continue to work remotely to ensure social distancing. All staff members are able to answer phone calls and emails. If you have any questions and are not sure which SEED staff member to contact, please call 204-927-9935 or email info@seedwinnipeg.ca and you will be directed to the appropriate staff member.

Matched Savings Programs

SEED is currently accepting applications for the Saving Circle and IDA programs. At this time, we are only able to accept participants that would be able to participate in the online Money Management Training sessions. Please see the program pages for full program qualification requirements and information.

If you are a current program participant with questions about cash-outs, account withdrawals, or MMT, please call your coordinator directly or leave a voicemail at 204-927-9947 or email abpadmin@seedwinnipeg.ca.

Recognition Counts

SEED is currently accepting referrals and general inquiries related to the Recognition Counts Program. If you are interested in applying for a Recognition Counts loan, please email rc-info@seedwinnipeg.ca or call 204-927-9937 to discuss loan eligibility. Processing of loan applications will continue during the pandemic, although meetings and submission of supporting documents are being done remotely at this time.

Business & Enterprise Support & Training (BEST)

If you are a current or past SEED Winnipeg business training program client and need help accessing COVID business-related or other income and social supports, please email bestinfo@seedwinnipeg.ca to arrange a video or phone meeting.

The BEST Program is currently delivering all programs and services virtually/remotely via phone and Zoom.

Our online Business & Enterprise Support & Training (BEST) program for everyone, and Immigrant BEST for immigrants and newcomers is currently full and already underway. If you are interested in participating in this program in the future look under the BEST program to sign up for an information session to learn how to apply. The next BEST and Immigrant BEST programs are scheduled to occur in Fall 2021.

Indigenous Women Exploring Business

Recruitment for Indigenous women starts in December 2020 and January 2021 for the winter online Indigenous Women Exploring Business program. If you are interested in participating in this program click on the BEST program to sign up for an information session to learn how to apply.

Immigrant Women Exploring Business

Immigrant Women Exploring Business online training recruitment will take place in March 2021 for the May/June program dates.
